Synopsis

The Hunting Wives is an erotic drama, thriller, and murder mystery series based on the novel by May Cobb. It shows crime, mystery, and toxic friendships between a group of rich women, and shows how a normal life can quickly turn into something dark and dangerous.
The story starts with Sophie, who moves to Texas with her husband and child for his job. She feels a bit lost and alone in a new place. Through her husband, she attends a gathering where she gets introduced to a group of wealthy women led by Margo Banks, who is confident, glamorous, and also very manipulative.
The group spends time partying, shopping, and even going on hunting trips. But slowly, Sophie realizes there is more going on. There are affairs, secrets, and a lot of emotional control, especially from Margo. She slowly pulls Sophie deeper into her circle.
As Sophie gets more involved, her lifestyle starts changing. She begins buying guns, experimenting with drugs, and getting used to this risky lifestyle. Then things take a serious turn when her gun goes missing, and a young girl named Abby is found dead with it. Sophie has no idea who used her gun, and that’s where the real trouble begins.
She gets stuck in a situation full of lies, fear, and manipulation. Margo’s influence over her makes it even harder for her to think clearly or get out of it.
Coming to the cast, Paul Teal plays Pastor Pete, and this is also his final on-screen role. There’s also Brad, played by George Ferrier, who is connected to both Margo and Abby, which makes him one of the first suspects. But as the investigation goes deeper, things start pointing towards Pastor Pete, who is already being looked at for kidnapping cases.
Overall, The Hunting Wives is not just a simple murder mystery. It shows how toxic friendships, power, and influence can completely change someone. If you like shows with dark drama, secrets, and messy relationships, this one is worth watching.
